EMERGENCY RESPONSE PLANNING SERVICES

SERVICE OVERVIEW

ORO.GEN.200 together with the requirements for an SMS, requires AOCs to develop an emergency response plan.  EASA Consultants itself (together with partner Kilian Zimmermann), has its own Emergency Response Plan which is implemented whenever a "trigger event" occurs with one of our clients.  Sadly, we have had reason to activate this plan and can confirm it has been tested and found robust and able to withstand actual use.

The point of the ERP is that it allows the AOC, as far as possible, to continue operations while an emergency situation is ongoing, to handle that situation as well as possible and then to return to normal operations once the situation is over.  We are aware of at least 1 orgnaisation which, since the new rules came into force, had an ERP trigger event.  This particular organisation did not have an ERP in place and the response of the Authority was to suspend their certificate.

The question is, can your AOC afford to have it's certificate suspended if anything goes wrong?  We are able to provide a sound and robust solution to help ensure this does not happen.

AVAILABLE POSSIBILITIES

EASA Consultants is able to deliver the following ERP assistance to AOCs:
  • On-call service (as a secondary back-up to the AOC own ERP management contacts)
  • Activation of a parallel ERP to reinforce the AOC's own
  • Support in all crisis negotiations
  • Document support (help in dealing with insurers, accident investigators etc.)
  • Assistance with liaison with responsible bodies (CAA, accident investigators etc.)
  • Staff training

PRICES AND FEES

We are not aware of any other ERP assistance services (other than writing ERP manuals and providing training), we are however aware that this kind of service may seem expensive and possibly eat into the margins of an AOC, just to provide some "insurance".  At EASA Consultants we understand the difficulties and therefore we offer this service together with our fully integrated service which means the cost to you is low and that any expense can be passed directly to the end user.

FULLY INTEGRATED SERVICE

This is undoubtedly the best option if you require auditing on an ongoing basis.

This service is based on EASA Consultants and/or its partners providing an integrated service to your AOC.

You will receive assistance in implementing an Emergency Response Plan, compliance monitoring system, safety management system, emergency response plan and training, as well as technical authoring of your manuals (all "as required").

The cost of this will be on the basis of how many hours instruction the AOC provides.
  • Small initial deposit
  • Fee based on hours of iflying
  • Fee invoiced in arrears
  • Will add only a few € to each hour of flying
  • Can be passed directly on to the passenger - no need to absorb the AOC overhead

Typically can be from only €3 per hour depending on the level of instructing and the work we have to do.

This option is available only with an on-going service package including use of EASA Consultants or Kilian Zimmermann Training as external auditors for your AOC.

This option is also subject to eligibility.  Terms and conditions apply above those for other services.
